When we bumped into AOL research manager Anne Stava here at our offices, it was as if we were immediately back in the '60s. The brown-eyed beauty bears a striking resemblance to British fashion icon and designer Mary Quant with her bob haircut, created by the late Vidal Sassoon. While it usually takes us months to build up the courage for a major haircut, Stava told us she did it on a whim.
"I had grown my hair out for like two years, which is really good for me because I impulsively chop my hair off often," said Stava. "And I went to my hairdresser with no intention of doing so this time, but she gave me three options: a long, medium and short hairstyle. It wasn't traumatic because I've had short hair before, just really exciting."
As for her perfectly, smudged eye makeup, Stava admits that since she got this haircut, she's been doing more of clumpy, mod-inspired look. She creates this by first applying Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner, then adding Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl Eyeliner on top for depth. (Layering this way is also a trick to avoid getting raccoon eyes.) Generous coats of Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara add the finishing touches.
