Dennis Rodman FBI Informant? Former NBA Star Allegedly Eyed As North Korea Tipster

From NBA star to FBI informant?

Former Chicago Bulls player Dennis Rodman is reportedly in talks with the FBI regarding his knowledge of North Korea and the country's young leader, Kim Jong Un. Rodman, who visited North Korea back in February, got a rare glimpse into the Hermit Kingdom on a "basketball diplomacy" mission while filming a documentary for HBO.

Rodman and Kim, whom the retired athlete referred to as "an awesome guy," took in a basketball game, had an "epic feast" and managed to become buddies during the short visit. "The Worm" even plans to return in August.

However, the FBI might have more interest in the 51-year-old's return trip this summer. Rodman might even be a useful informant.

"I have been contacted by the FBI and I met with them," Rodman told the Miami Herald on Saturday night. "They wanted to know what went on and who's really in charge in North Korea. I have been invited back to North Korea in August and I want to go. I'm not a total idiot. I know what Kim Jong Un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle. I hope it doesn't happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies."

He added that officials from the U.S. and North Korea should talk in order to try and resolve the ongoing issues, including Kim's threats to attack U.S. military bases in South Korea and the Pacific.

"I've been talking to folks for years who don't get what I'm about but that's cool, 'cause once they walk away they like me. I might be able to keep folks' heads cool," he said. "We all going to find a way to get along and keep peace. Peace and love is where it is at."

As for what is planned for his August trip to North Korea, "The Worm" doesn't have anything set in stone, but he is ready to let loose.

“We have no plans really, as far as what we’re going to do over there," he told Gossip Extra, "but we’ll just hang and have some fun!”
