David Steckel Goal: Ducks Forward Nets Fluke Shot Against Blue Jackets (VIDEO)

Fans who tuned in for the Anaheim Ducks game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday night were treated to one of the strangest goals of the NHL season.

Five minutes into the third period, Ducks forwards Kyle Palmieri and David Steckel inadvertently popped the puck into the air right in front of the crease. The puck then bounced past Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky on the way down and right it crossed the red line, it looked as if no one had any idea where the puck had went.

The fluke was Steckel's first goal in over a year, but the Jackets came back to beat the Ducks 3-2 in overtime.
