Jennier Aniston On 'Friends' Reunion Rumor: 'Did Matthew Perry Start That?'

Jennifer Aniston Blames Matthew Perry For 'Friends' Reunion Rumors

Jennifer Aniston discussed those pesky "Friends" reunion rumors when she stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week.

During her segment (above), the talk show host said she was responsible for reuniting the "Friends" cast. As the crowd cheered, Aniston clearly looked surprised and joked to the audience, "You're hearing it here first ... as am I!"

DeGeneres said about an hour before Aniston came on set to film her segment, the "Friends" rumors took flight. "Did Matthew Perry start that?" Aniston asked. "'Cause he's getting some good airtime on this show."

The rumors actually started when KHITS, a radio station based in Tulsa, OK, posted an image with the iconic "Friends" couch from Central Perk that reads, "Friends. The One With The Reunion. Thanksgiving 2014" with the caption, "This is the best Sunday news, evar [sic]!"

Another site took the information and claimed NBC confirmed the reunion, sending the Internet into a frenzy. NBC, Warner Bros. TV and "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman shot down the story, saying it was completely untrue.

"I'm gonna clear this up right now: No. It's not happening!" Kauffman told E! emphatically of the "Friends" reunion rumors. When asked if we'd ever see a movie featuring the sixsome, Kauffman said, "No. Look, 'Friends' was about that time in your life when your friends are your family and once you have a family, there's no need anymore. I'd rather people go, 'Oh, please, please' than, 'I can't believe you did that. It was horrible.'"

The "One With The Reunion" image first started circling around back in November 2012 and Perry even tweeted the photo then, saying it wasn't real.
