Raptors Play 'Sweet Caroline,' Honor Boston Before Celtics Game In Toronto (VIDEO)

Before the Boston Celtics played their final game of the season at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, the Raptors' PA announcer, Herbie Kuhn, delivered a touching message to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.

"This past Monday, many of the residents of Boston began their celebration of Patriots Day in a familiar way, with the running of the 117th Boston Marathon," Kuhn said while the Raptors and Celtics stood at midcourt. "It's a test of endurance where thousands of runners from around the world compete and where hundreds of thousands line the route to cheer them on. As we all know, the day ended in pain and sorrow. Ladies and gentlemen, tonight, we are all Boston fans."

The message was followed by a moment of silence.

As Boston's starting lineup was announced, the stadium played Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," an eighth-inning tradition at Red Sox home games since 2002.

The New York Yankees were among many Major League ballparks to also play "Sweet Caroline" to pay tribute to those affected by the tragic events on Monday.
