'USA' Chant Breaks Out In Citi Field, Other Sports Venues After Boston Bombing Suspect Arrest (VIDEOS)

"U-S-A! U-S-A!"

The chant reverberated through Citi Field in New York on Friday night after fans learned authorities had captured the second suspect in the bombing at the Boston Marathon. The news was displayed on the massive video scoreboard in center field as the Mets played the Nationals.


Fans at the Blues-Stars game in St. Louis, Mo. reacted similarly when the news was shown on the scoreboard at the Scottrade Center.

Rays fans at Tropicana Field for their game against the Oakland Athletics were said to have given a standing ovation when the capturing was announced.

According to Anthony Andro of Fox Sports Southwest, Texas Rangers PA announcer Chuck Morgan announced the news of the arrest during the fourth inning, prompting loud cheers. Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," a Fenway favorite, was then played in Arlington as fans celebrated the news with a sing-along.
