We realize not everyone is handy with a hammer, but we were surprised to hear that a staggering 72 percent of American homeowners would be willing to give up something major (gasp, Facebook!?) for one year of home improvements by a professional. What else would they say goodbye to in exchange for packing up their toolkit? Well, according to a recent survey by Redbeacon, a website for locating local construction professionals: sex.
The "Do It For Me" survey, conducted by global research company Kelton, asked over 1,000 American homeowners about their love/hate relationship with projects around the house. In exchange for a year of help, 56 percent of respondents would be happy to give up social media, 35 percent would abstain from dining out, and a whopping twenty percent would give up hanky panky.
Before you go offering up your favorite pastimes for free labor, why not look for a partner that's handy? In March, the Daily Mail reported that 74 percent of women say that the most sexy trait in a man is his DIY skill set -- and that they rate this even higher than being a good athlete. On the flip side, 61 percent polled said they would be turned off by a partner if he or she was useless with a wrench.
