Rebecca Black's 'Stay' Cover: YouTube Star Takes On Rihanna

Rebecca Black Covers Rihanna

Happy Tuesday! Today's gift is new music from Rebecca Black.

We haven't heard from everyone's favorite teenage viral star since last year's "Sing It" and "In Your Words," two singles that were supposed to help comprise an album that has yet to see the light of day. Regardless, Black is at it again, this time with a cover of the Rihanna hit "Stay." The video features fellow YouTube star Dave Days strumming on his guitar and accompanying Black on vocals.

Black, 15, recently tweeted her excitement about the new video:

The new effort is in keeping with Black's plans to make music videos forever and ever.

"Until the day I die. Until the day I die," she told Billboard when asked how long she'll continue to make videos.

In 2010, at just 13 years old, Black became an overnight sensation with the release of her much-maligned video for "Friday," which recently saw its two-year anniversary. The video has since garnered more than 200 million views on YouTube, having been taken down after 144 million streams and re-uploaded with another 52 million to date. Her Internet stardom has continued at a slightly tamer rate since then, with "My Moment" collecting almost 38 million views and "Person of Interest" nabbing about 8 million. Still no word on that album, though, which was originally slated for an October 2012 release.
