And now in the saddest celebrity news of the day: Sylvester Stallone's beloved dog Phoebe is dead after being attacked by a coyote earlier this month. TMZ reports that the canine's body was found at the "Expendables" actor's home after his family had spread "LOST" posters for their pet around their Bel Air neighborhood. The posters, which can be seen here, also listed a phone number and a $10,000 reward.
Stallone's rep confirmed to the website that "Phoebe's death has been very difficult for the family."
This isn't the only time that Stallone has made news recently when it comes to his pets. In February, the 66-year-old action star admitted to selling another dog for $50 when he was strapped for cash -- then buying the pooch back for a whopping $3,000.
"I sold my bullmastiff Butkus to a little person. You can't use the word 'dwarf' anymore? Let's just say a little person. I tied my dog up at the store with a sign that said a hundred bucks. I got $50 from this guy called Little Jimmy," he told ShortList magazine.
"When I sold the 'Rocky' script, I went to see Little Jimmy and begged for the dog back," he added. "He wanted to fight me and said he was gonna kill me -- he was a crazy little person. I couldn't fight him -- they'd arrest me -- so I offered to pay double. Anyway, $3,000 and several threats later … I ended up putting [Little Jimmy] in the movie ['Rocky']."
