Rick Pitino Tattoo Photos: Louisville Coach Follows Through On Promise, Gets Inked (PICTURES)

LOOK: Rick Pitino Shows Off New Tattoo

Rick Pitino followed through. Shortly after his Louisville Cardinals defeated the Michigan Wolverines to win the national championship, the 60-year-old coach let the world know that he would be getting a tattoo. Pitino had, apparently, promised his players that he would get inked if they cut down the nets in Atlanta.

They did. He did.

Pitino unveiled his tattoo on Friday, by way of Louisville SID Kenny Klein. As he had previously discussed, the tattoo is a tribute to his 2012-2013 championship team. The two-time NCAA Tournament champion got his work done at Tattoo Salvation in Louisville, according to ESPN. It looks like he brought that national championship trophy along for the ride.

What do you think?

For better or worse (but quite likely for better), Pitino eschewed the many tattoo suggestions that surfaced on Twitter after he revealed his plan.
