Dan Bucatinsky, 'Scandal' Star And Gay Dad, On His Real-Life Parenting

'Scandal' star, author and Huff Post blogger Dan Bucatinsky recently stopped by Huff Post Live to discuss what it's like to be a real-life gay father.

Bucatinksy, who plays James Novak on the hit ABC show, revealed his biggest challenge didn't really have much to do with his sexuality.

"The things that I was not prepared to handle were things that other new parents are not prepared to handle," said Bucatinsky, who penned the book Does This Baby Make Me Look Straight?. "I was surprised by how normal [it was... because gay people are normal], but how much it wasn't specific necessarily to the fact that I'm gay."
