Tsarnaev Brothers Carjacking Victim Discusses Ordeal In First Televised Interview (VIDEO)

The man who was carjacked by Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev during their last night on the run gave his first TV interview on Tuesday night. (Watch above.)

CBS News aired the interview with "Danny," a 26-year-old Chinese entrepeneur. He prefers to remain anonymous, so the network obscured his face and altered his voice.

"Danny" had pulled over to the side of the road in his Mercedes when Tamerlan Tsarnaev jumped into his car and pulled out a gun. He immediately told the man that they were the people responsible for the Boston marathon bombing, and that they had killed a police officer.

The Tsarnaevs proceeded to drive to Watertown and back to the Boston area while speaking to each other in Russian, and seemingly broaching the possibility of driving to New York. At one point they loaded explosives into the back of his car.

While stopped at a gas station in Cambridge, "Danny" made a daring escape and notified authorities about the carjacking. Soon, police were engaged in a shootout with the Tsarnaevs in Watertown.

The man had previously told his story at length to the Boston Globe, but had not appeared on camera.
