Now, her ex-husband Charlie Sheen is sticking up for her. Check out his defensive tweet below:
Richards has also defended her weight, telling Extra! this week that she leads a "very healthy lifestyle."

Sheen isn't the only star to say nice things about his ex post-split. Click through the slideshow below for celebs who have said they still love their exes.
Courteney Cox and ex David Arquette are quite possibly Hollywood's most amicable exes, so it was no surprise when Cox admitted that Arquette was her "best friend in the world" and that she still "loves him" when she stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in January 2013. The pair, who have a daughter, Coco, together, split in Oct. 2010 and officially filed for divorce in June 2012.
Director Guy Ritchie divorced Madonna in November 2008, but that didn't stop the director from confessing his feelings for the Material Girl almost a year later. "I still love her," Ritchie told Esquire in November 2009. "But she's retarded, too."
Nicole Kidman, who divorced Tom Cruise in 2001 after 10 years together, said she still loved the actor in a May 2006 interview. "He was lovely to me," she reportedly said. "And I loved him. I still love him. Cruise filed for divorce from Kidman in February 2001. During their marriage, the ex-couple adopted two children together -- Connor, now 17, and Isabella, now 19.
Richard Burton may have divorced Elizabeth Taylor twice, but his love for her never seemed to die. "I still love Liz," Burton told reporters on the night of Taylor's 50th birthday party in 1982. The confession was hardly surprising, given the pair's volatile history. They wed for the first time in March 1974 in Montreal, Canada, just nine days after Taylor divorced her fourth husband, Eddie Fisher. The pair divorced in 1974, but later reconciled and secretly remarried in Botswana, before finally calling it quits for good in July 1976.
Phil Collins' love for his third wife, Orianne Cevey, endures in spite of their 2008 divorce. Collins, who was married to Cevey for six years, opened up about his feelings for his ex-wife in a September 2010 interview . "Orianne and I still love each other and I don't actually know why we got divorced. We are still friends. Orianne has a new boyfriend, actually she's married," Collins said. "But it's still the case that when Orianne has problems, she calls me. Or when she has an argument with her husband, she calls me. Really, she does that."
