Between the hundreds of calories in a margarita, the high fat content of just a dollop of sour cream and the ease with which a few chips can become a few too many, Cinco de Mayo celebrations aren't exactly the picture of health.
However, the holiday, which commemorates the Mexican army's 1862 defeat of the French army during the Franco-Mexican War, according to History.com, actually provides an opportunity to enjoy some of the healthiest superfoods we know.
