In a surprising development for "Castle" fans, Beckett got an unexpected offer. Her work on her latest case impressed some of the higher-ups in Washington, and suddenly Special Investigator Jared Stack made her an offer she didn't refuse -- at least not yet.
"I see bigger things for you," he told her.
Beckett countered with, “Who says I want bigger things?”
"Practically everything about you screams it. There’s a job opening in D.C," Stack told her. "With the Attorney General.”
“If Beckett takes the job, how long until she ends up back in New York?" wondered Buddy TV. "After all, it's not like the show can transplant all the characters to D.C.." They did imagine a fun "Castle" crossover with "Scandal" should she spend some time in D.C., but could even Beckett keep up with that pace of crazy?
TVLine noted that Beckett didn't seem to be in any rush to tell Castle about the offer. She told Stack she'd think about it, which clearly meant she'd think about it alone. TVLine thinks this could possibly create yet another problem for the couple.
