'Scandal': Fitz And Cyrus Face Off Over Olivia Pope In Exclusive Sneak Peek At 'Any Questions?' (VIDEO)

'If That Means I Have To Stop Being President, So Be It'

So "Scandal" fans, you think you got goosebumps last week when Fitz told Olivia (Kerry Washington) about his decision and the two star-crossed lovers waited out the clock so they could finally be together? Just wait until you see HuffPost TV's exclusive sneak peek from this week's episode, "Any Questions?" (Thurs., May 9, 10 p.m. ET on ABC).

In the "Scandal" sneak peek (above), Cyrus (Jeff Perry) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) have a little sit-down. Cyrus is doing major damage control -- for his own job and the promises he's made to the first lady (Bellamy Young) -- and he does his best to convince the president to get back with his wife Mellie and just keep his mistress Olivia Pope (who Cyrus says is "a heck of a gal" -- ha!) on the side. Cyrus even offers to facilitate, lie, cover for the president ... but Fitz isn't having it.

"It's not too late to save your presidency," Cyrus says. "Look at Clinton."

"Clinton wasn't in love with Monica Lewinsky," Fitz fires back. "I am in love. With a woman who is not my wife. I want to be with her. Not in the shadows -- openly. And if that means I have to stop being president, so be it."

Goose. Bumps. But do you think Fitz can and will really go through with it? And does that mean he'll definitely lose his seat in the Oval Office? And who, for crying out loud, do you think is the mole? Share your theories in the comments!

"Scandal" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
