WASHINGTON -- The White House says British Prime Minister David Cameron will be at the White House on Monday to meet with President Barack Obama.

Global security concerns will be high on the agenda. The White House says the two leaders plan to discuss Syria's civil war and counterterrorism, plus trade and economic issues. Britain has been pressing for a more robust response to the Syrian conflict.

Obama and Cameron will also set priorities for the upcoming G8 meeting of leading industrial nations. Cameron will be hosting that session in June in Northern Ireland.

Cameron was last at the White House March 2012. That meeting also focused on security concerns and the shifting role of the U.S. and Britain in Afghanistan.
