Tyler Perry has had tremendous success with his fictional character Mabel "Madea" Simmons, but he won't be sending her to space anytime soon.
On HuffPost Live Wednesday, the media mogul expressed his love for science fiction films and said he does hope to create one of his own in the future.
"I can promise you it won't be 'Madea In Space,' but my favorite genre of film is sci-fi, I love sci-fi to no end," Perry told HuffPost Live's Jacob Soboroff.
Perry even made an appearance in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" movie in 2009, but said he won't be seen in the second film.
Perry also talked to HuffPost Live about his new partnership with Oprah Winfrey and his latest film, "Peeples."
