Rainbow Sunset In Los Angeles Filled The Sky With Gorgeous Colors (PHOTOS)

Los Angeles rain can do so much more than make traffic horrible or fill the local Twitterverse with angst-ridden tweets.

Occasionally, it can make our skies look like magic. After the rain stopped Thursday evening, LA's cloudy skies turned deep shades of orange, gold, pink and purple. There were even a few actual rainbows here and there, notes the Los Angeles Times. Luckily for those who missed the sight, lots of Angelenos looked to the heavens to snap a quick picture.

Our favorite photo was uploaded to Imgur by Reddit user Antranik, whose friend Phyllis Osman captured a silhouette of the iconic Santa Monica Pier against the colorful sky. Antranik dubbed the moment, "Dat Magic Hour."

Lest you think the phenomenon was for Westside eyes only, Reddit user UpUpDnDnLRLRBAstart uploaded loaded two pictures of the sky: one facing east and another facing west.

Take a look at more cotton candy clouds in the images below and send us your picture by uploading it directly into the slideshow or tweeting it to @HuffPostLA.
