Russia announced on Tuesday that it has arrested a U.S. diplomat for allegedly working for the CIA.
Russia's Federal Security Service said in a statement that it caught Ryan Fogle, a third secretary at the U.S. embassy in Moscow, while he was trying to recruit a Russian informer, the Associated Press reported. Russian security forces said they found technical equipment, a large sum of money, and several disguises as evidence of the plot.
Russia's counterintelligence agency also released a letter it says was meant for a potential recruit, which offers up to $1 million for cooperation.
Russian news outlet Russia Today tweeted a photo of the letter -- maybe you'll agree with us that some passages are, well, hilarious.

On Twitter, many were quick to point out that if these were indeed current CIA tactics, the agency would have some serious updating to do.
Take a look at these photos of Fogle's arrest, along with the supposed "disguises" Russian authorities found.
