Canstruction, Non-Profit Group, Builds Sculptures Made Of Canned Food (PHOTOS)

We're tickled that there exists a nonprofit called Canstruction that holds annual design and building competitions. The main requirement for entry: that the structures are made of canned foods!

Perusing through Canstruction's Facebook page, we found images of fantastical constructions made with thousands of cans. According to Canstruction's web site, it's all for a good cause:

Wherever a Canstruction competition is held thousands of hungry people are fed, a greater awareness of the issues surrounding hunger is brought home to the public, and a spotlight is placed on the design and construction industry giving back to the communities it helps build.

At the end of each competition, the structures go on display for a period before being dissembled and donated to local food banks.
