J.J. Abrams Takes 'Star Wars' Plot Suggestions From William Shatner, Billy Dee Williams On 'Kimmel' (VIDEO)

J.J. Abrams Takes 'Star Wars' Ideas From Shatner, Billy Dee Williams

J.J. Abrams stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote his new "Star Trek Into Darkness" film, but Jimmy was ready to move on to his next big project. Abrams is taking over the "Star Wars" franchise. Unfortunately, Abrams didn't have any details he could share yet, but Kimmel was prepared for that. He had some suggestions from "fans" of the franchise in the audience.

The first was William Shatner, who had a somewhat incoherent idea that seemed to merge the "Trek" and "Wars" universes. "This Han Solo and the Lando...? Captain Kirk! No rules, no shirts, you know? Road trip of a lifetime sort of thing?” he suggested." When Abrams said that it sounded pretty great, Shatner responded, "Yes, it is, because I wrote it. But I agree with those weird people. That Leia and Chewy should do it.”

But Shatner wasn't the only one there. Billy Dee Williams, Lando Calrissian himself, suggested that the next movie should be nothing but Lando.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" his theaters this Friday, while the next "Star Wars" project is still a while away. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on ABC.
