Zach Galifianakis Tells 'Conan' He Doesn't Like Being Famous (VIDEO)

Zach Galifianakis is definitely a big star now, but he told "Conan" that he kind of doesn't like being famous. "And I understand the irony of saying that on a talk show," he added.

“I’m kind of private," Galifianakis said "If I see a pack of teenagers walking my way, forget it. I will run.”

It is possible that part of Galifianakis' problem with his fame is the type of people who recognize him and approach him in public. "It’s never anybody wearing a doctor’s smock," he explained. "It’s always somebody, like, with a ‘Who Farted?’ T-shirt.”

Recently, he made it pretty clear that he hasn't let the fame he has go to his head. RumorFix reported that the star of "The Hangover" recently dropped by a comedy club he used to work at this past week and picked up a bar-tending shift. We're betting he had to talk to lots of people who recognized him there.

Avoiding fame isn't going to be easy for Zach Galifianak when "The Hangover Part III" hits theaters on May 24. He might just want to stay home that weekend. Catch new episodes of "Conan" every weeknight at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
