When "Rookie Blue" wrapped its third season last fall, Andy had agreed to join an undercover operation for the drug squad. The action picks up six months later and she's deeply embedded near the targeted organization. It was touch-and-go for a bit there, but of course, her team came through for her and everyone came out of it alive.
But that didn't mean things hadn't changed in her long absence. While friends were happy to see her, Andy was only thinking about Sam. But when she went to check up on him, she found him in the arms of training officer Marlo Cruz. Guess you can't go home again.
And while Sam told Marlo that his feelings for Andy were "in the past," it certainly didn't look that way as he watched her walk away.
The Wall Street Journal had a one word reaction to it -- "Whoops" -- while Zap2It says this is what we’ve come to expect from “Rookie Blue," writing, "Hello, broken heart? It's me, Andy. Again."
