Luke Strebel Goal: Father Ryan Soccer Player Scores From Long Range In Overtime (VIDEO)

WATCH: Soccer Player Scores From Midfield in OT

High School soccer player Luke Strebel recently channeled his inner David Beckham when he took a free kick from long range during the final seconds of a tied championship game in overtime.

Strebel scored on a 54-yard strike during the TSSAA Division II-AA Boys Soccer Championship to put Father Ryan High School ahead of Montgomery Bell Academy in sudden death. The goal occurred just seconds before time expired, which would have sent to game to penalty kicks.

“I wasn’t even expecting it,” Strebel told the Tennessean. “I just kind of served it in, hoping my guys get a head on it like they always do, and just put it right in. I still don’t know how it happened. I’m in shock.”

Strebel's goal bounced into the box and eluded the keeper to find the back of the net in the 109th minute.
