'Mike And Molly' Finale Rescheduled For May 30 In The Wake Of Oklahoma Tornado

'Mike And Molly' Finale Rescheduled After Tornado

CBS' "Mike and Molly" Season 3 finale was originally supposed to air on May 20, but the episode -- which featured a tornado hitting Chicago -- was pulled from the schedule following the devastating Oklahoma tornado that killed 24 and injured hundreds more that day.

CBS has now rescheduled the finale on a special night and time -- it will now air Thurday, May 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

After the episode was pulled, a CBS spokesperson released a statement: "Due to the tragic events this afternoon in Oklahoma, we are pre-empting tonight’s season finale of 'Mike & Molly,' which has a related storyline. A repeat broadcast of 'Mike & Molly' will run in the time period. The season finale will be broadcast at an appropriate date."

Here's the official episode description for the Season 3 finale:

Mike and Carl get stuck working at the Renaissance Faire after their boss, Patrick, gets dumped by Mike’s mother. Later, as a tornado descends on Chicago, Mike and Molly each confess important news to each other. Gerald McRaney guest stars as Police Captain Patrick Murphy, Mike’s boss. Jim Beaver guest stars as Dwight.

"Mike & Molly" was recently renewed for for a 22-episode Season 4, but the comedy wasn't on CBS' fall schedule. The show, starring Melissa McCarthy and Billy Gardell as the titular couple, will likely return midseason.
