'Deadliest Catch': Jake Decides To Walk Off The Northwestern (VIDEO)

'Deadliest Catch' Sees Another Departure

On Tuesday's episode of “Deadliest Catch,” Jake Anderson made the emotional decision to walk off the Northwestern after being offered another job that would have him running his own boat in as little as two years.

Jake said he was “scared as hell” to leave the boat he had grown up on, and that breaking the news to Captain Sig was the "hardest thing."

“But I have to move forward. I have to," he told Sig. “I love you like a dad. It f***ing breaks my God d*** heart to leave.”

“Alright, you gotta do what you gotta do, man," Sig said, shaking Jake's hand.

The men of the Northwestern were pretty quiet on social media during and after the episode, but viewers said they were sad to see Jake go.

Facebook fans thought Jake was making a mistake, but understood that he wanted to pursue his dreams.

No word yet if Jake is enjoying his new job or if he’s back on the Northwestern, but judging by his last tweet, he's done with the show.

"Deadliest Catch" airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
