In the June issue of More magazine, on newsstands now, Debra Messing opens up about her divorce from actor/producer Daniel Zelman, with whom she has a son.

"Part of me will always contend with guilt that I wasn't able to give my son the fantasy that my parents were able to give me," she said (via People.com).

Messing and Zelman were married for 10 years before announcing their separation in December 2011; Messing officially filed for divorce in June 2012.

Messing also opened up about co-parenting the couple's nine-year-old son.

"Now we are co-parenting beautifully … We had Thanksgiving together. In my mind, we will be a nuclear family forever," she told More.

This isn't the first time Messing has spoken out about her split. Last June, the actress told Ladies Home Journal that she and her ex are on the "same page" about their divorce.

"Every thought is dictated by what's best for our son. We are completely on the same page in that regard. We are dear friends," she said. "And I am at peace with the journey we've had. I feel like the 20 years we had together has been a huge success."
