Obama Ricin Letter: President Receives Mail With Threats Similar To Mail Sent To Michael Bloomberg

Another Questionable Letter Sent To Obama

A letter addressed to President Barack Obama contained threats similar to those found in mail sent to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and is being tested for ricin, NBC 4 New York reports.

The letter was received Thursday in an off-site screening facility for mail and did not reach the White House, sources told NBC 4 New York:

The text of that mailing was identical to the letters sent to the mayor and his gun group, which threatened: "what's in this letter is nothing compared to what I've got planned for you," police and law enforcement sources said.

Two threatening letters containing traces of the deadly poison ricin were sent to both Bloomberg and his gun-control group in Washington, D.C. Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) were sent ricin-tainted letters in April 2013, which were intercepted in an off-site screening facility for mail.

UPDATE -- 11:45 a.m.: WABC-TV reports that law enforcement sources say the letter addressed to Obama has tested positive for ricin.
