This highlight might haunt Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders catcher Jeff Farnham for a little while.
Tim Beckham of Triple-A Durham (Rays affiliate) was on second base when Cole Figueroa hit a soft line drive to center field in the bottom of the seventh inning on Friday night. Beckham rounded third base to try and score but the throw beat him. But that didn't matter.
The 23-year-old slid past Farnham and avoided the tag, but also missed the plate. That didn't matter either, as Beckham dodged another tag attempt from Farnham and dove around him to touch the plate. The Bulls won 8-4.
The shortstop currently has a .288 batting average to go along with 10 doubles, three triples and 26 runs.
