When we imagine what it would be like to visit Anderson Cooper's summer home, we assume it would be filled with fancy decor, a staff to keep things neat while he's working and, well, just overall perfection, like Cooper himself.
But when comedian Kathy Griffin paid the journalist a visit back in 2011, we saw it was actually pretty normal. The Hamptons home is totally charming with a country-feeling throughout, thanks to the white linens on the bed, the shabby-chic kitchen accessories and of course, a front porch swing.
There were a couple of surprising elements: an empty fridge (he could only offer Griffin hot dogs) and teddy bears on his bedroom shelves. But his gorgeous pool definitely makes up for all of that.
To wish Cooper a Happy Birthday today, we're taking a look back at the hilarious visit from Griffin. So, watch the video above and be sure to click through our slideshow of his absolute best moments.
