Herman Cain: 'I Does Not Care' About Arrested Development Doppelgänger

He doesn't understand the question and he won't respond to it.

Herman Cain said he was "unfazed" by an Arrested Development character that bears a strong resemblance to the 2012 presidential candidate.

The former GOP hopeful told Mother Jones that he knows of Herbert Love, the conservative politician who plays a major role in the 4th season of the hit show, but it doesn't bother him.

"I heard about it, haven't seen it, and I'm unfazed by it," Cain said. "In the vernacular of my grandfather, 'I does not care.'"

The resemblance between Cain and Love, who is running for Congress against Bluth family frenemy Lucille Austero, is striking. The characters look alike, talk alike, and share simliar positions on issues like immigration and the economy. Slate noticed the similarities too.

Like Cain, Love's campaign is also hit with a sex scandal.

According to the Washington Post, Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz admitted the resemblance wasn't accidental.

“It just felt like a rich area for comedy,” he said. “It also felt just politically incorrect enough.”
