Jarron Collins On Brother Jason Collins Coming Out: I Asked The 'Dumbest Questions' About My Twin Being Gay (VIDEO)

NBA veteran Jarron Collins stopped by the HuffPost Live studio Thursday to chat about the whirlwind reaction to his brother Jason Collins' announcement that rocked the sports world: "I'm a 34-year-old NBA center. I'm black. And I'm gay."

After Jason came out of the closet on the cover of Sports Illustrated, he got a call from President Obama, and the entire family, including Jarron, would sit down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey days later. But it all began with a conversation between brothers, Jarron told HuffPost Live host Jacob Soboroff.

Jarron said that he and his twin typically have a "jovial" and "light" relationship, so he immediately knew something serious was up when Jason asked to have a discussion.

"When he put the bass in his voice saying, 'I need you to sit down,' I was like, what's going on?" Jarron Collins said. "When he told me it was definitely a surprise, so I had questions for him -- some of the dumbest questions you could possibly ask someone who has just come out to you, like, 'Are you sure?'"

Watch Jarron Collins describe how his brother came out to him in the video above.
