Hockey Playoff Beards: Bruins, Blackhawks Bring Facial Hair To Stanley Cup Finals (PHOTOS)

To beard or not to beard, that is hardly a question.

The 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs began on April 30. Six weeks later, players from the last two teams skating -- the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks -- faced the media with obscured faces ahead of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Holding to hockey tradition (credited to the New York Islanders of the early 1980s), beards were nearly as plentiful as visible scars when the bruised and battered conference champions met the press on Tuesday in Chicago.

From the wispy goatee of Bruins goalkeeper Tuukka Rask and the wooly neck growth sported by Blackhawks winger Brandon Saad to the well-manicured, "friendly mutton chops" of Jaromir Jagr, here are the assembled beards of the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals:
