Mel B may be working solo as a new judge on "America's Got Talent," but when she dropped by "The Tonight Show," she said that despite reports to the contrary, she and the other Spice Girls are still good friends. In fact, they're such good friends that the other four women apparently tried to psych Mel B out before their big reunion performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
“I was the first one to jump in the cab, and all the other girls’ cabs were all around the corner," Mel explained. "As each one of my Spice Girls passed my cab, they were like, ‘Don’t f*ck it up! Don’t f*ck it up! Don’t f*ck it up!’"
They were giving her grief because she had the first vocal lines in their performance. And they did get inside her head, making her nervous. But things went off without a hitch.
She told SheKnows that the Spice Girls have been BFFs for 18 years now, and that'll never change. But that doesn't mean there are plans for a reunion. They came together for the premiere of "Viva Forever," which features their music -- though it closed after six months.
But they're keeping busy enough with individual work. Mel B joins Heidi Klum as the new faces at the judges table on "America's Got Talent," Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
