"Fun" is the new "excited" and Tim Tebow is the newest member of the New England Patriots.
Although the Patriots didn't hold a massive press conference on the occasion of acquiring Tim Tebow like a certain other AFC East team once did, the club couldn't escape Tebowmania entirely on Tuesday. After a minicamp practice in Foxborough, dozens of reporters swarmed the recently arrived fourth-year quarterback.
“First and foremost, I just want to thank the Patriots for giving me an opportunity. I’m very thankful. It’s such an honor to be a Patriot and play for coach Belichick and coach McDaniels, and learn under Tom and be a part of this great franchise and a part of a very successful franchise. I found that out first hand and lost to them several times. It’s going to be a lot of fun. I’m looking forward to working hard every single day and getting a lot better and learning under some great people," Tebow said amidst a crowd. "That’s all I got. But thank you all so much and God bless. I’m sure we’ll be talking more soon.”

One year after the Jets introduced Tebow to the New York media by way of a large press conference, the New England press corps had to make due with this impromptu statement following practice. During Tebow's media session with the Jets that stretched for more than thirty minutes, he returned to the mantra "excited to be a Jet" on multiple occasions.
Tebow's initial remarks as a member of the Patriots hardly lasted longer than thirty seconds and the word "excited" was not uttered once. Still, Tebow's positivity appeared undiminished by a dismal season with the Jets. After all, he thinks his time with the Patriots will be "a lot of fun."
