TV Dads: The Best Advice From Don Draper, Homer Simpson, Cliff Huxtable And More (VIDEO)

TV Dads Say The Darndest Things

Father's Day is right around the corner so now's the time to celebrate the great advice our own fathers have given us ... as well as the wise words of our favorite TV dads.

In the supercut above, "Modern Family's" Phil Dunphy helps his son Luke get a date via g-chat, while Cliff Huxtable of "The Cosby Show" lets his own son know that writing poems is not the way to get a woman back -- you have to get down on your knees and beg!

Don Draper (Jon Hamm), on the other hand, is all about doling out bathroom etiquette and then, of course, there's Homer Simpson, who tries to comfort Bart by saying, ""Girls come and go, but you'll always have your family," which sends him into a fit of hysterical tears.
