'Call Of The Wildman': Turtleman Tackles Deer Trapped In Consignment Shop (VIDEO)

It was certainly a dangerous task on "Call of the Wildman" this week. Ernie "Turtleman" Brown received a call from a store owner because of a wild animal that had gotten itself trapped in his consignment shop. A buck had jumped through the window and couldn't figure out how to get back out.

The frightened animal proved quite a handful for Turtleman and his team to corral and gain control of. At 300 pounds, this 8-point buck was powerful enough to do real damage. They managed to get a hold of him and opted to blindfold him in order to help calm the deer.

As it was mating season for deer, the guys theorized this played a roll in the deer finding itself inside the store. During mating season, bucks fight one another, so it was possible this buck picked a fight with his own reflection in the shop's window.

Oddly enough, this isn't as unprecedented as it might seem. In 2011, one deer found itself in a cell phone store, while another made its way into a beauty shop in 2012. Perhaps the wildest story, though, happened earlier this year. A deer leapt from a man's trunk during a police stop.

Find out what animal Turtleman must square off against next on "Call of the Wildman," Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Animal Planet.
