Duct tape is pretty powerful and definitely handy in a lot of situations, but can you trek through the desert, repel down cliffs and survive serious rapids armed with only a few rolls of the super sticky stuff and some bubble wrap?
If anyone can, it's the "MythBusters," who are certified duct tape enthusiasts. The Huffington Post has an exclusive sneak peek at "Duct Tape Canyon" (airs Wed., June 19 at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery), above, which finds Adam and Jamie in a very tough spot in the desert -- in tuxedos, naturally.
And in a moment of brilliant corporate synergy, someone else with keen survival skills pops up to speak to Adam in the desert. With the countdown to "Skywire Live With Nik Wallenda" ticking down (airs live Sun., June 23 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Discovery), the self-proclaimed King of the Wire is ready to tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon, live and on air. Now that deserves a "don't try this at home" "MythBusters"-style warning for sure. But will he have good advice for Adam and Jamie's experiment, or is he just a desert-induced hallucination?
Watch our exclusive "MythBusters" sneak peek above, and tell us: Will you watch Wallenda's epic live tightrope attempt?
Here's Discovery's official description of "Duct Tape Canyon":
"MythBusters" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
Lost in the wilderness, Adam and Jamie survive the desert, repel down canyon cliff-faces, and brave Class 5 rapids, all with duct tape and bubble wrap. Guest appearance by Nik Wallenda, famous tightrope walker, who has his own way to traverse the canyon.
