Miami loves a parade.

For the second year in a row, the NBA Champions will celebrate another title with a festive procession through the city, Miami Heat officials announced.

The team's victory parade is set for 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, followed by a ticketed championship rally inside AmericanAirlines Arena.

The parade will run through downtown Miami, according to a release, and details of the route will be released after city and franchise officials meet Friday to discuss.

We will update this story as parade and ticketing specifics are announced; stay tuned!

UPDATE: The 2013 Championship parade will follow the same route as last year, according to WSVN. Starting at 11 a.m., the parade will start at Southwest Eighth Street and Second Avenue, then head east on Eighth Street, then north on Brickell Avenue across the bridge, and finally north on Biscayne Boulevard into the American Airlines Arena.

There will be water stations along the way but no big screen of the AAA celebration due to the amount of heat stroke suffered back in 2006, reports CBS Miami.

Local 10 reports that the FBI is investigating suspicious tweets about the parade, and WSVN tweeted that no backpacks will be allowed along the parade route, by order of the police.
