'Super' Moon 2013: Best Times To See Largest Full Moon Of Year Sunday Evening

Ready to look up at the sky tonight to see the largest full moon of the year?

While many witnessed an almost full moon Saturday night, the supermoon reached the point in its orbit that is closest to Earth early this morning, so Sunday evening will be the prime time to view the most "super" moon of 2013.

The SLOOH Space Camera will be hosting a live broadcast of the celestial event, however many around the world should be able to witness the spectacular sight with their own eyes.

Since scientists recommend catching the supermoon at moonrise or moonset in order to get the best view, we've compiled a list of the optimal local viewing times for major U.S. cities in several states. (If you are not near one of the following cities, click over to the U.S. Naval Observatory's site and search for the "moonrise/moonset" option for your location.)
