Tom Coburn: Edward Snowden Extradition Failure Demonstrates 'Failed Foreign Policy'

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) appeared on Tuesday's edition of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," blaming President Barack Obama's foreign policy for the government's inability to bring NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden back to the U.S. to face charges.

"What is happening is really some failed foreign policy that's now cumulating," Coburn said. "I think China's enjoying this and I know Russia's enjoying it, and it helps them."

Snowden has been evading U.S. authorities since the Guardian identified him as the person who leaked classified information earlier this month. Reports have traced his whereabouts to Hong Kong and more recently to Moscow, where Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Snowden is in the transit zone of the international airport.
