Wasp Nest Filled With 1 Million Yellow Jackets Found By Entomologist In Florida (VIDEO)

WATCH: Million-Wasp Hive Found

A Florida entomologist went buzz-serk when he found a huge wasp nest with more than 1 million yellow jackets inside.

"I have never seen a nest this large in my entire life," Jonathan Simkins told WFLA. "This is the prehistoric nest from the dinosaur ages."

Simkins, who runs the pest removal company, Insect I.Q., was "called to a large, privately-owned tract of land in Central Florida" to handle the yellow jacket nest that was more than six feet tall and eight feet wide.

"To put it into perspective, a nest we deal with on a day to day basis might have a thousand to five thousand," Simkins said.

The news comes just days after an enormous hornets nest the size of a Volkswagen Beetle was discovered outside a Tallahassee, Fla., home, according to WCTV.

"If somebody wants to come by and was to shoot it or something like that I'm sure that they'd swarm everywhere," homeowner Norman Bush said. "Imagine if a child or something was out in my yard and they all attack that child, that would be bad news."
