Exclamations points and #MarriageEquality hashtags abounded on Twitter after the Supreme Court DOMA decision -- and Latinos were not going to be left behind. Ricky Martin, Perez Hilton, Demi Lovato and others joined in on the virtual celebration with happy dances and congratulatory messages for the LGBT community.
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled the Defense of Marriage Act was unconstitutional with a 5-4 vote. President Obama considered the decision a “historic step” toward equality for same-sex couple and tweeted out his support shortly after the news broke.

A sentiment echoed by activists and gay Latino celebrities like Ricky Martin and Perez Hilton, but the two proud gay dads were not alone as several Latino figures joined in to mark the historic decision on Twitter.
