Tony Fadell is perhaps best known for his work at Apple, where he created iPod and iPhone hardware. Today, he is building NEST, a remarkable thermostat. Controlled from anywhere (including an iPhone), it allows you to manage daily energy consumption, save real money, and importantly, diminish greenhouse gas emissions.
