Cory Booker has saved (another!) dog -- with Twitter's help.
The Mayor of Newark, N.J., responded to a tweet on Thursday in which someone reported a dog locked in a crate.
Then he actually went to find the dog himself:
Where? I'll go investigate now. RT @shankdog3000:
Is there anyone who can stop the torture of a dog? There's a dog locked in a small crate— Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) June 28, 2013

Booker, who's currently running for U.S. Senate, called the Humane Society after scoping out the area himself, according to U.S. News.
Scott Crawford of the Humane Society told U.S. News that the dog is now at their Newark shelter, is "a little scared" but will hopefully improve.
Booker's extraordinary action should be a once-in-a-lifetime story, but it's not. In January, the mayor rescued a freezing dog from the cold. And the year before, he saved a neighbor from a burning building.
