Asiana Airlines Flight 214: Timeline Of Plane Crash At SFO Airport

As new details emerge about the Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 flight that crashed Saturday at San Francisco Airport, The Huffington Post is piecing together a timeline of how the incident unfolded.

All times are noted in Pacific Daylight Time.

On Sunday afternoon National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Debra Hersman said at a press conference that the pilots had made a "go around request," meaning they requested to abort the landing, just 1.5 seconds before impact.

Hersman also said the plane was flying below target airspeed before it crashed, and that a crew member made a call to increase speed 7 seconds before impact.
