'Oldboy' Poster: Josh Brolin Should Ask Why He Was Set Free (PHOTO)

Posted: Updated:

Spike Lee's remake of "Oldboy" is already one of the fall's most anticipated features, and the new poster for the film will do nothing to dampen early excitement.

Based on the cult favorite by Park Chan-wook, "Oldboy" tells the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and imprisoned for 20 years without explanation. After his equally unexpected release, the man must figure out why he was captured in the first place. Elizabeth Olsen and Sharlto Copley co-star in the film, along with Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Imperioli and Lance Reddick.

The film's poster was designed by Neil Kellerhouse, the man behind art for "The Social Network," "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" and "Antichrist." The "Oldboy" poster uses Josh Brolin's actual handwriting to spell out the film's title (his character spends 20 years in solitary confinement writing notes to his daughter), while the image is pulled from the "Oldboy" trailer. Look for that to premiere later this week.

"Oldboy" is out in theaters on Oct. 25. Click the poster for the full-size image.
