Tropical Storm Chantal could greet Miami over the weekend.
National Weather Service forecasts show South Florida sits in the 'cone of uncertainty' for Chantal, which is currently 630 miles east southeast of Barbados and speeding toward the Lesser Antilles.
Her 40 miles-per-hour winds mean a tropical storm watch is underway for St. Vincent, while warnings are in place for Barbados, Dominica, Saint Lucia, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.
As of 8 a.m. Monday morning, Chantal is expected to weaken while passing by Miami as a tropical depression. NWS graphics show just a 5 percent chance the Magic City could see tropical storm force winds, but as always, it's best to keep an eye on it.
