Jennifer Lopez, one of the most powerful people in the entertainment business, has worked hard to get to where she is and soon she’ll be taking us behind-the-scenes in her upcoming documentary, “Jennifer Lopez: Her Life. Her Journey.”
“Do I belong here? I’m just like this girl from the Bronx who grew up on Castle Hill. I can do and I can be whatever I want to be. I’ve worked as hard as I could to be as good as I could,” says Lopez in the preview to “Her Life. Her Journey.”
“When something is destined, it’s destined. And the rest is kind of history I guess.”
The personal documentary takes us through the 43-year-old’s journey to stardom with an up-close-and-personal look at why she belongs at the top. Included are interviews from the people closest to her such as her family and music executives Tommy Mottola and Benny Medina.
The film promises a better idea of who JLo is and what has made her so influential in the business.
“Her Life. Her Journey” to premiere on NuvoTV
If the Latina wasn’t busy enough with a new album and her twins, she recently took on the job of being Chief Creative Officer of NuvoTV, an English-speaking network for Latinos where her documentary will premiere on July 18th. This will be her first feature on the network. Her goal creative officer is to “change the face of television.”
“I want to just have fun creating the shows. What I want is for it to be remembered as a place where we gave a home to artists who didn’t have a home before, where Latino artists in front of and behind the story can tell their stories. And at the end of the day, we literally have changed the face of television,” Lopez said.
